I have had these small artworks from Thomas Martin for a while now, they are 20 artworks screen printed in a match box and have been a constant inspiration for me over the last few weeks while I have been preparing the Swatch Book project for The People's Print at the V&A.
The simplicity of joyful mark and pattern making can build a library of pattern to play with.
We start our first swatch book with black and white marks ready to scan in and add colour
